J'ai téléchargé un gabarit de thèse en anglais, mais je n'ai pas pu la traduire en français, comme le mot « chapter » au début de chaque titre... Pouvez-vous m'aider ?

PS : j'ai téléchargé ce modèle de thèse pour LaTeX depuis ce site.

Il existe des « templates » de thèse en français, par exemple yathesis.

Bonjour,

La plupart des titres et libellés est automatiquement traduite par babel (l'option french est à mettre avec les options de classe). Pour les autres (il y en a 5, me semble-t-il) il suffit d'utiliser la commande \providecaptionname qui figure 10 fois dans le fichier de classe (5 pour l'anglais, 5 pour l'allemand).

Je me suis permis de remplacer le chargement de palatino, qui est obsolète et ne gère pas les mathématiques, par le chargement de newpx, qui est basé sur TeX Gyre Pagella, un clone de palatino qui les gère, et dispose de vraies petites capitales. Enfin,il me semble qu'il vaut mieux charger biblatex avec pour moteur biber, bien plus puissant que bibtex.

Je n'ai pas traduit \authorship, parce qu'il me semble qu'on ne demande pas en France de certifier que c'est bien vous l'auteur de la thèse. Voici donc un préambule possible.
